elevated mgSRH Obituary
elevated mgSRH It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Annamaria Alberta Luchetti who passed away peacefully just shy of the age of 91. La Signora Luchetti ha lasciato questa vita il 26 Ottobre, 2025. Nata a Roma, Italia, il 01 Novembre, 1934 lived a life devoted to family, friends, and the Arts, an avid Piano player, Master Needle-pointer, and Seamstress. She coined and led the Arts program called Mani D’oro at the North York Public Library where she worked for decades.
elevated mgSRH Annamaria was the loving mother of two sons, and proud Nonna of four, and Bisnonna of three. The void she leaves behind reminds us of how deeply she loved us which helped shape our lives. In that emptiness, we’re inspired to live with the same kindness, strength, and love she showed every day. Her light was so bright that even after it’s gone her warmth remains.
elevated mgSRH Annamaria is survived by Son’s Fred (Phyliss), John (Franca), Grandchildren, Matthew (Liana), Sara Nicole, Kayla (Patrick), and great-granddaughters, Adaline, Stella, and Rea. She was preceded in death by Grandson, Kyle and Husband, Dr. Francesco Luchetti.
elevated mgSRH In lieu of flowers, Annamaria has asked for donations to the Sickkids Foundation, a cause very close to her heart.

Annamaria, you were such a gift to my family not just a neighbour. You were special in so many ways. You were so good to my family, to me, to everyone you came across. You gave the best advice and always knew how to help me and talk me out of my fears. You will be missed deeply. I will miss our chats and our laughs. You were the greatest neighbour anyone could have ever wanted. Hopefully one day we’ll be neighbours again for eternity. Till next time my friend, rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Luchetti family.
My condolences to John Franca Matthew and Sara.. I will never forget growing up at chubbys and all of the adventures she would take me Matt and Sara from painting rocks, getting ice cream to just goin for a cruise in her light blue car with her chubby license plate, may you rest in peace 🙏
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Annamaria.
She was a lovely person and a wonderful neighbor. We will miss and never forget our conversations, Annamaria from her balcony and mom and I from our backyard, about flowers, books, Italian politics, the love for our cats and many more subjects.
To the family we give our most sincere condolences.
Fred and John
My deepest condolences to you both. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

Amanda (Mandy)
Thank you for everything.
My condolences to the Luchetti Family
Deepest condolences, John and family.
John and Fred :
I had the privilege of working with Annamaria at the library and I met you as young men. She was full of life and energy and she worked hard with enthusiasm and alot of joy and laughter. She was kind and generous and she loved engaging with the public and staff. She has earned her rest and I extend my sympathies to your entire family. As I said to a colleague, I hope she is now rolling up her sleeves and getting ready to stir things up in heaven. She was a lovely woman.
Addio Anna
Sending our condolences to John, Franca, Matthew and Sara and the rest of the Luchetti family. RIP Chubby

Dear Fred and John,
Anna Maria shared her kindness, laughter and light with everyone. I felt fortunate to have known her. I will treasure the memories of our times together.
Wishing you and your family peace and comfort as you celebrate her beautiful life.
Happy heavenly birthday Annamaria. I will never forget, I will have a Tim’s coffee small with 2 milks and a chocolate dipped donut for you today like we used to. One of my fondest memories of you. Riposo in pace.
A few weeks ago, she phoned home and said that she was dying. I did not believe her. Now she is gone, breaking our hearts.
She loved her family so much. You were her life, the apple of her eye.
Annamaria was generous, sincere, thoughful, the very best friend.
We will always remember her.
Our sincere sympathy to all her family.
Fred and John and families,
We were heartbroken to hear of your mother’s death, and know that you all are as well.
My mother, Catherine, worked with Annamaria for many years and remained friends to this day. Our mothers and Millie all shared birthdays in November and would go out for lunch to celebrate.
My family and I visited with her a few years ago and have lovely memories of that time (she fed our one year old a small jar of Nutella and he was in love 🙂 ).
Our deepest condolences to you all,
Marijan Grobbink
