elevated 9KlnR It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carmelita Tia Guilas (Nanay Sitang), of Brampton, Ontario, at the age of 75.
elevated 9KlnR Born on January 27, 1948 in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Jose Tia Sr. and the late Filomena Dorico Tia. She was sister to Anita, the late Angel, the late Aurora, Virginia, and the late Jose Jr.
elevated 9KlnR Carmelita was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Beloved wife to Benedicto, her husband for 56 years, and loving mother to their 4 children: Lorna Liza (husband Rodolf), Leilani (husband Ramil), Lorena (husband Anthony), and Ronald Allan (wife Rebecca). Cherished grandmother to Loriz (husband Trung), Raiza, Rendict, Ramuel Benn, Rainier, Riana, and Reginald. Loving great grandmother to Lennon.
elevated 9KlnR Carmelita was very kind, loving, generous, cheerful, and in good spirit. She was beloved Tita Sitang to many nephews, nieces, and children of relatives and family friends.
elevated 9KlnR May God bless her soul, grant her peace and eternal salvation. We can never lose those we love as they remain within our hearts.
elevated 9KlnR Visitation hours are on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 2-6 PM with Reception and Refreshments at 4-6 PM; and on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 9-11 AM followed by Chapel Service Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Assumption Catholic Cemetery – Catholic Cremation Services Chapel 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 1N4. Inurnment is scheduled on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1 PM Assumption Catholic Cemetery – Our Lady of the Rosary Mausoleum.
