elevated YUgiv It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Clarice Pereira Henriques, on Monday March 30th, 2026 at Cortellucci Hospital in Vaughan. Clarice was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Fernando, her parents and her 6 siblings. Born on Feb 12, 1928 to Alexandre Martins Pereira and Augusta Da Silva, in the small village of Nogueira, Pessegueiro do Vouga, Portugal, Clarice had 6 siblings who all predeceased her as well..
elevated YUgiv Married in 1950, she and her husband immigrated to Canada in the mid 1950’s where they raised their four children Mario (Donna), Alberto (Dianne), Augustin and Maria (Edward). Clarice leaves behind 4 cherished grandchildren; Clarice, Benjamin (Laura), Daniel (Laura) and Julia (Alexandre); 6 very loved great-grandchildren; Justin, Leo, Emma, Carter, Aristotle and Constantine and many loving nieces and nephews.
elevated YUgiv Clarice will always be remembered for her selfless love and dedication to her family; her sharp wit; and her authentic Portuguese cooking. Never one to sit idly, Clarice was usually found crocheting, cooking or gardening. She treasured time spent with her family, and we are comforted knowing that she is resting with her Lord Jesus Christ.
Tia Clarice was a wonderful Aunt. She took in my immigrant parents in the early 70’s. My eldest sister remembers receiving care packages overseas. Also, giving my brother his first job at their manufacturing company. Tia was an amazing nanny to Lise & I over the summer holidays. In 1996, Domenic & I, joined Tia Clarice & Tio, in a family reunion of almost 20 of us, to Spain. Her birthday this year is bittersweet, it will be the last time I will hear her beautiful voice.

Thank you , Ana Bel. It’s so wonderful to hear how the acts of people can affect the lives of others in such significant ways to create memories and open pathways to a better future. My mother was always thinking of how her present deeds could be beneficial to others. She was a special lady and mother.
She came from heaven, and to heaven she goes. “As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. World without end. Amen” My mother is with me for eternity.
