elevated GtRJD Obituary
With deep love and respect, we announce the passing of Dinora Cuadra, who departed this life on October 3, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Romeo Antonio whose life was cut short after only 12 years of marriage, but a bond that she cherished all her life. A devoted mother, lifelong educator, and resilient survivor, Dinora leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and service.
elevated GtRJD Born in Usulután, El Salvador to Luis Alonso Zelaya and Maria Elba Jovel on June 22, 1942, Dinora grew up with a fierce sense of justice and a passion for learning. Her early years were marked by a deep commitment to helping others—a calling that would guide her through every chapter of her life. Dinora pursued her calling as a teacher in her home country, dedicating over 20 years to primary education and specializing in teaching children with special needs. She believed that every child had a gift to offer the world, and she worked tirelessly to make sure they believed it too.
elevated GtRJD In the 1980s, amidst the devastation of civil war in El Salvador, Dinora made the courageous decision to flee her homeland with her two young daughters, seeking safety and hope in a new country. Despite the unimaginable challenges of displacement, language barriers, and starting over, she built a life of purpose and dignity from the ground up.
elevated GtRJD In addition to her work in education, Dinora was a devoted and active member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mississauga, where she served for many years. Whether helping with community outreach, leading children’s programs, or offering quiet support to those in need, her faith was the foundation of her life.
elevated GtRJD Dinora is survived by her two daughters, Carola and Cristina (Carlos) and her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jose Romeo, Jacob, Santiago, Graciela and Joaquin whom she adored. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her siblings Luis Alonso (Maria Antonia) and Jose Roberto (Maria Del Carmen) and lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends in Canada and El Salvador.
elevated GtRJD Rest in peace, Dinora. Your light lives on in every life you lifted.
