It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the unexpected passing of Emilio Aceto on November 10, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 66. Born on July 25, 1959 in Toronto, Ontario to parents Umberto and Gilda. Beloved husband of Luisa for 35 years. Loving father of Cristienne, Umberto and Gianna. Adored brother of the late Mary, Joe (Rose) and Nada. Emilio will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

Emilio started off with being my hair stylist and through the years we became good friends. We shared many stories and we had so many laughs. I am still in disbelief. Too young. Too soon. Emilio has cut my hair since 2016 & I always enjoyed time spent with him! He was so knowledgeable, funny & a character. I left to go to another salon after I moved to midtown Toronto but decided to return to. him just recently because I preferred his cuts. I just saw him 3 weeks ago & am so shocked & saddened that he’s gone. May his memory be for a blessing. Sending the family my deepest condolences.
Our hearts are broken at the news of Emilio’s passing. He was such an integral part of our family for 3 generations… he looked after my mom, my daughter and myself. His care and kindness will never be forgotten! We pray for all of you in this time of deep sorrow.
Emilio was a wonderful man and a cherished friend. I am sure that I will join a very long list of people who will miss him dearly. My wife and I will feel his loss for many years. He was a very special man in so many ways.

Nat and I will always cherish the moments Emilio was part of our lives. From the day of our wedding, when he lovingly helped with Nat’s hair, to the times we fought the wasps’ nest to the day of the street fireworks when he brought out the cognac, & through all the countless convo’s we shared on the veranda every memory was amazing. We feel privileged to have known him.

Emilio was more than our hairstylist – as we have know him for 30 years- he was family. Emilio first styled my hair in 1981 when he worked in Don Mills Centre and I followed him for haircuts when he moved to Wilson & Bathurst, then Woodbridge, then Promenade and finally Salon E. He was warm and funny and smart. His advice was solid, as were his opinions. He spoke lovingly of his family and treated everyone with respect. He will be warmly remembered and very much missed.
