elevated i81kl It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giovanni Laratta on August 4th, 2025 at the age of 91. Giovanni lived a life marked by unwavering work ethic, love, happiness, and devotion to his entire family.
elevated i81kl He is now reunited with his beloved parents, Francesco and Serafina, and siblings, Maria, Domenico, and Andrea. Giovanni will be forever cherished by his wife Giuseppina, children Francesco (Angela) and Sera (John), grandchildren Alessia (Anthony), John (Heather), Antonio and John, and numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
elevated i81kl His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in every generation he helped nurture. His presence was a gift to those around him —uplifting, welcoming and unforgettable.
elevated i81kl He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will live on in his family and friends.

Dear Alessia and Anthony any family, we are so sorry to learn about the passing of your beloved Nonno. We are so glad we had the chance to meet him – a wonderful man who will always be with you and guide you.

Frank, Angela, Alessia & John, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole entire family during this difficult time of sorrow. Alessia and John, may your loving grandfather be in you and your family’s hearts forever and may he be reunited at peace with your other grandparents. Alessia, I will always think of seeing your grandfather and grandparents when I go see my Nonno Tony (my mom’s dad) at Queen of Heaven and my Nonna Giiuliana and Nonno Giovanni (my dad’s parents) at the beautiful and glamorous Blessed Virgin and Crucifixion Chapel site at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. On another note, a beautiful song I dedicate to them both in their memory is The Prayer by Cèline Dion and Andrea Bocelli which is one of my all time favourite cherished songs.
