Jay Michael Crowley was born in February 1960 in Peterborough, Ontario, to Gregory Crowley and Shirley Shaughnessy Crowley. He passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with stage 4 kidney cancer, having been diagnosed on October 8, 2023. Jay faced his illness with strength, faith, and quiet perseverance for two years and three months.

Jay dedicated 25 years of faithful service to Toronto Community Housing, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others. He took pride in his work and the community he served.

On September 17, 1994, Jay married the love of his life, Rosana Crowley. Together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and shared faith. He was a devoted and loving husband, a caring brother to Brian Crowley, a beloved son, uncle, and a dependable handyman always ready to lend a helping hand.

Jay was a devoted Catholic who faithfully served and volunteered at the Church of the Good Shepherd. His faith was central to his life and sustained him through both joyful and challenging seasons. He deeply valued fellowship and enjoyed socializing, connecting easily with people from all walks of life.

An adventurous spirit at heart, Jay loved skating, playing hockey, traveling, and embracing new experiences. He was also a passionate animal lover, showing kindness and gentleness to all God’s creatures.

Jay will be remembered for his generosity, warm heart, strong hands, and steadfast faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and quiet strength that will continue to live on in all who knew him.

May he rest in eternal peace.
