elevated bIdTS Obituary

elevated bIdTS With profound sadness, but with faith in God’s promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved Nanay Julita Solero Torres, who went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2026, at the age of 90.

elevated bIdTS Nanay Julita was a quiet, gentle, and humble woman with a kind and generous heart. She did not need many words to show her love. Her warmth, her gentle presence, and the simple ways she cared for her family spoke deeply of the love she carried in her heart.

elevated bIdTS Julita was an athlete during her younger days and was active in track and field and volleyball.

elevated bIdTS She excelled at school and was accelerated 2 years in a row. She took up Education at Bicol University, Philippines and became the youngest professor at 19 years old during her time.

elevated bIdTS She moved on from teaching and joined the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Catanduanes until she retired being 2nd in command at her provincial unit. We are proud of her accomplishments and more importantly, that she did them with honesty and integrity.

elevated bIdTS Although Julita never married, she had a special love for children and treasured the time she spent with her family. She dedicated her time caring for Jerome who was orphaned at a very young age. She joined Jerome when he and his family moved to Canada.

elevated bIdTS She enjoyed travelling, going out to eat, and most of all, being together with the people she loved. These simple moments brought her happiness and created memories that her family will forever cherish.

elevated bIdTS She will be lovingly remembered by her grandson Jerome Ubalde and his wife, Kate and grandson Jherico Ubalde and his wife, May. She was a beloved great-grandmother to Caleb, Caitlin, Yna, and Jamy, who brought immense joy to her life.

elevated bIdTS She is also survived by her beloved sister, Clementina Din and son Edward, as well as her extended family, Shirley and Brian Botham, Fr. Joe Peña, relatives, her spiritual communities (BCBP, St. Bonaventure parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, among others), and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

elevated bIdTS As Catholics, we take comfort in knowing that death is not the end, but a passage into eternal life with God. We entrust Nanay Julita into the loving and merciful hands of our Heavenly Father, praying that she may now rest peacefully in His presence, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

elevated bIdTS May the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom we ask to accompany all her children at the hour of death, gently lead Nanay Julita to her Son, Jesus Christ.

elevated bIdTS Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,

elevated bIdTS and let perpetual light shine upon her.

elevated bIdTS May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,

elevated bIdTS through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

elevated bIdTS Nanay Julita, you will be deeply missed. Your quiet love, generous heart, and beautiful memories will remain with us always. We will carry you in our hearts until the day we meet again in the eternal embrace of our Lord.

elevated bIdTS Rest peacefully, Nanay.

elevated bIdTS You are home with God now.

elevated bIdTS Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
