It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kamal Salem Goraichy, age 84, of Stouffville, Ontario. He departed this life on June 4, 2026 surrounded by his family.
elevated 6BZql Born on March 22 in Egypt, he was the son of Salem and Adma Goraichy. He spent his life working as a math teacher where he was known for his kindness, warmth, and ability to make people smile.
elevated 6BZql He was a devoted and loving father to his family. More than anything, he loved to spend his time playing tawla (backgammon), fishing, swimming, cooking (whether by choice or by Nadia’s urging) and spending time with his family that included eleven grandchildren.
elevated 6BZql Kamal leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom that his family will carry forward. He taught us to question, to love, and to be compassionate. He showed unconditional love and was always the person that could be depended on.
elevated 6BZql He is survived by his wife, Nadia, his children: Marie, Rony, Dani, and Chirine; his sister – Alice Saleh, and his eleven grandchildren- Isabelle, Christina, Celina, Andrew, Josephine, William, Sebastian, James, Maia, Maylyn, and John.

I’m so sorry to hear this news. From all the stories I’ve heard, he was a larger than life character and will be remembered for all the good times he had with his family. May he now find peace in heaven where he can look down on his family and smile knowing he did well by them.
