I know you’ll always be
For though your gone
From this mortal world
In my heart you’ll always be”

Our dearest Rachele, you will be missed beyond words. If you didn’t know her, she had the power to touch a person’s heart with something as simple as a shared cup of coffee. Your love moved through our veins like a quiet melody, and although you’re no longer here physically, your song of life will always linger through our walls forever, woven into our family’s stories, traditions, and the love we continue to share.

elevated M7M3b Rachele immigrated to Canada from Italy with nothing but hope for a better life, and here she built the home we all came to know as the farm. Here she raised two incredible children, Nat and Maria. As the years passed, they brought their children into the home, and their children would one day bring theirs—each generation adding new memories to the ones she began. On the shelves we find you, in photos and souvenirs, but what stands out the most is the memories we once shared. The farm is not just a home; it is the heart of our family, a place shaped by her strength, her love, and the life she created from nothing more than hope and determination.

elevated M7M3b We picture the moment they found each other again- Nonno rising from the garden he’s been tending since 2022, brushing the soil from his hands, his eyes lifting the way they always did when Nonna walked into a room. The years of waiting falling away like petals carried off by the wind. Their hands warmly meet again, as if no time has passed at all. The distance that once separated them has dissolved completely. Together, they walk through the garden he’s been preparing for her—rows of flowers he planted with her in mind, each one a memory, a moment, and a promise kept.

elevated M7M3b While Alzheimer’s changed her final years, her spirit never faded. In heaven, she remembers it all. Every face, every moment, every piece of her beautiful life. She is truly herself again.

elevated M7M3b The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love, and condolences during this heartbreaking time. We would also like to extend a very special and sincere thank you to Matthew’s Hospice. Their gentle care, compassion, and unwavering kindness brought comfort and peace to Rachele in her final days. For that we will forever be grateful. In honour of the extraordinary support they provided, we kindly ask that donations be made to Matthew’s House Hospice so they may continue to offer the same compassion to other families in their time of need.
