elevated Mdenu It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nonna and bisnonna, Raffaela (Lina) Falabella (née Mattia) on December 10, 2025.

elevated Mdenu Lina lived her life centered around the people she cherished most. As the loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Tony, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years, she embraced her role as the proud and strong matriarch of her beautiful family. She adored her two children dearly, her late son Gino (Sina) and loving daughter Mary (Alberico). She took tremendous pride in her five grandchildren: Leandra (Frank), Marco (Carolina), Matthew (Chantelle), Melissa (Shaun) and Michael, and was blessed with nine great-grandchildren (Luca, Alessia, Paolo, Daniele, Olivia, Emilia, Sebastian, Simona, and Sienna), who filled her heart with endless love, laughter and joy. She will be deeply missed by her loving family, her older brother (Giuseppe), her many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

elevated Mdenu Born in her beloved Lauria (Potenza), Italy, she immigrated to Canada in 1955 to build a better life with her husband and create a home where her family could grow and flourish. Her life was dedicated to caring for others. A devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into raising her two children, and later spent many years lovingly babysitting her grandchildren and countless other little ones who adored her. Her passions were simple, but very meaningful. She found so much joy in cooking meals for her family, tending to her garden, and keeping an immaculate house. She loved to dress for every occasion, always stepping out with elegance and a touch of flair that reflected her warm and joyful personality.
