It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Wensing, aged 57, who left us peacefully on Sept 29, 2025.
elevated 2zVL9 A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Theresa touched many lives with her lively and very outgoing personality.
elevated 2zVL9 Born February 12, 1968, in Toronto, she lived her adult life in Barrie, she was a proud mother to her twin sons Luke and Adam who were the center of her world. She loved her husband Andreas with all her heart. Theresa loved her parents and extended family. She will be missed by all.

For what it’s worth, I don’t have to hang on a shelf all our photographs and still frames in my mind to know something so unpredictable, was so worth the while.
For what it’s worth, I want to say how thankful I am that as a 24 year old, you lived life as an avid traveller, a fun seeker and allowed an Aussie backpacker to tag along for a year.

I am very saddened by the news of Theresa’s passing. Theresa and I worked together for many years. Theresa shared many stories but most were to speak of her love for her family. Especially her twin boys and her immediate family. Definitely her pride and joy. May she rest in peace 😌
Andreas, Adam,Luke I’m so very sorry about the passing of Theresa. I worked with Theresa at OPP Accommodations Branch. She was an amazing person and employee. She not only brought a work ethic, but humour to the workplace. I considered her as a friend, she will be missed.
To my Aunt Theresa. Some of the happiest moments in my life are with you and our family together. I will always smile and feel joy in my heart when I think of our happy times at the cottage, going to Germany, Florida, chopping down the Christmas tree every year, and the many family gatherings that we had. You made everything fun. I will miss laughing with you. I miss you and the good old days. I love you, and I hope that you are resting in peace with your mom, grandparents, and of course my Dad. Love you always and forever, love Erica.
From the very beginning, we grew up side-by-side, sharing more than just a room. We shared our dreams, quiet moments of comfort and laughed at things only we could understand.
As adults, we continued to share life‘s joys with our families at the cottage. Our special place where laughter, fun and sunshine filled our days. We spent our days on the water, gathered around the table for wonderful meals and played games late into the evenings.
I will always carry these cherished memories in my heart and I will always love you Thereselee.

Although I did not get to know her very well, the times we spoke together, I remember her joyful, happy and generous energy that was so welcoming to be around and always made me feel at home. Loved her playful humour and zest for life.

I am very saddened by the news of Theresa’s passing. Theresa and I have been friends since grade 9; 42 years ago. We had so many incredible memories over the years. We always had so much fun together. Theresa was smart, kind, funny and always lit up a room. Everyone was drawn to her outgoing personality. She spoke of her family often, when we talked. My deepest condolences to Andreas, Luke, Adam and the Frank and Wensing families. I will miss Theresa very much.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Theresa’s passing. Our time together was filled with laughter, spontaneity, and a shared sense of adventure. We spent so much of our time exploring new places, meeting incredible people, and creating memories that I will cherish forever.

From the moment our paths crossed, there was a genuine connection. Theresa was one of the kindest and most gracious people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Over the many years we worked together, her warmth, professionalism, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. My most sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
I am in shock and honestly deeply saddened to hear this news. News I would rather not have had to hear. God is our Comforter and Healer. He takes his Angels in His timely manner. I believe Theresa is one of His Angels.

Years ago Theresa worked for me at the OPP. From the very beginning she was upbeat, energetic and happy. No matter what was asked of her, she was always there – ready to pitch in and help. Can’t recall even one encounter when there wasn’t a huge smile on her face. It was always a joy being in her presence. For all these reasons, her passing came as a huge shock. Hard to come to terms when she is one person that will always be remembered as so full of life. Deepest condolences extended to her husband, sons and family. I was honoured to have known her, you were all blessed to have had her in your lives.
My deepest sympathies to Andreas, Luke & Adam, as well as all her extended family. I am shocked and so very heartbroken to hear this news. We were not just colleagues but friends – I will miss her laugh, her seemingly endless energy, and swapping stories of raising 2 boys. I came to work at the OFM at the beginning of the pandemic. Theresa made me immediately feel welcome with her open and helpful spirit. Many times “T” would call me to catch up as my position took me all over Northeastern Ontario as well as weeks upon weeks in Midhurst. I enjoyed those conversations. She was a very special woman with a giving and helpful spirit. My condolences to her family and close friends. My thoughts are with you at this time.
