elevated 8S0Ru It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Vickie Carli on December 20th, 2023. Vickie passed peacefully in her 78th year.
elevated 8S0Ru Vickie was a teacher and educator with the North York Board of education for 32 years until she retired in 1998.
elevated 8S0Ru Cherished wife of Rudy. Beloved mother of Geoffrey. Loving and loved Nonna of Vanessa and Ryan. Dear daughter of Albert and Della (nee Gordon) Lowe. Dear sister of Murray Lowe (Harvey). Dearly missed by her brothers and sisters in law and her nieces and nephews.

Vickie was a wonderful and gifted colleague and will be sorely missed.

Very sad to read of Vicki’s passing .I had lost touch since our retirements .
She was a wonderful dedicated educator and colleague and I always enjoyed working with her.

I was so saddened to hear of Vickie’s passing. I have wonderful memories of the times we all spent together. Vickie was always so welcoming and full of laughter. May the wonderful memories you have of her help you through this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bepi and I are very sad to hear of the passing of Vickie. I will always remember her as a co-worker at Power back in the day when we were in our teens, Sorry we can’t make it to the viewing, but will definitely watch the broadcast of the funeral service. Death is a loss that we all must endure. I can empathize with you, Rudy, to some extent, in that I recently lost a partner of 45 years. However, loss is personal, and the most others can be is sympathetic. You will feel your loss in your personal way. Geoffrey will feel his loss in his personal way. Murray will feel his loss in his personal way. Etc. with extended family and friends. On a more positive note, memories have a way of consoling throughout one’s life, as one changes.
I had my own idea of grief
I thought it was a sad time that followed the death of someone you love,
And you had to push through it to get to the other side.
There is no pushing through.
But rather there is absorption.
Adjustment.
Acceptance.
And grief is not something you complete,
But rather you endure.
Grief is not a task to finish and move on.
But an element of yourself –
An alteration of your being.
A new way of seeing.
A new definition of self.

I was so saddened to hear about Vickie’s passing. My parents had a strong bond with Vickie and Rudy, and we saw them frequently during our childhood and adulthood. I will always remember her laughing and joking. I know she will be missed deeply by all.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Carli’s passing. I was her student in 1970, arriving halfway through the year with terrible marks and lots of potential. Her support and guidance helped turn my year around and set me up for later success. Of all the teachers I had, her memory stands out the most. My condolences to Rudy, Geoffrey and all the family.
My dearest Rudi, I am just learning of Bicki’s passing and I ham so very sorry.
She especially was on my mind today and I was hoping to speak to her. Alas the news of her passing came up and now I know.
In fact I took out the lovely pottery flask that you gifted Michael and I as a wedding gift 48 years ago! I was going to fill it with fresh water when I was spurred to look you up.
She must be visiting me from beyond.
She was a beautiful person through and through. Mom and Dad looked forward to visits from you both. Ridi and Geoffrey please know that time passes, friends see each other less often but are never forgotten. Much love to you both.
