It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vito Strazzella on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in Toronto, surrounded by his loving family.
Vito was predeceased by his cherished parents, Michele and Maria Rosa Strazzella. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Luisa, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Loving Papa to his beloved children, Tania (Matteo), Michelle (Joey), and Michael (Sarah). Devoted Nonno to his adored grandchildren, Mia, Julian, and Ava, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Dear brother to Angela (late Vito Rocco), Maria (Sebastiano), and Gerardina (Vito). Beloved son-in-law to Elia (late Renato) and dear brother-in-law to Sam (Maria), along with his many nieces and nephews.
Vito was born on March 22, 1952, in Vallata, Avellino, Italy, a place that always remained close to his heart. A proud Vallatese, he carried his love for his hometown and traditions. He later emigrated to Canada in 1968 where he built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and family.
A dedicated professional with an unwavering work ethic, Vito leaves behind a legacy of sacrifice, determination, and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his kindness, humility, and deep commitment to those he loved. Family was the center of his world, and his greatest joy came from spending time with those closest to him.
Vito was a passionate gardener. He found great joy in cultivating beauty in his backyard, a space that became synonymous with family gatherings. Vito was also an avid soccer fan and a proud supporter of SSC Napoli, faithfully cheering for his team through every season.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends in both Canada, Italy and New Jersey.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Humber River Hospital – ICU for their unwavering compassion and care.
The family invites you to share your memories, condolences, and messages of comfort on the memorial wall of this website.
May he rest in eternal peace.
