elevated 95CBo It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rocco Mattucci on May 17, 2018 in his 87^th year.  He was born on April 4, 1931 in Rocca San Giovanni, Italy.  He bravely crossed the sea to begin a new life in Canada.  With hard work, determination, charm and a little bit of luck, he was able to carve out a big slice of the Canadian Dream, but his proudest accomplishment was the loving family he shared it with.  Predeceased by his loving wife  Anna and his three children Philip, Mary Ann and Janet Mattucci. Survived by his daughter-in-law Anna and his grandchildren Rocco and Annamarie and his cherished nieces Antoinette, Cathy, Mary and Gina.  The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff East (West of Bayview Ave) from 1-3pm and 5-8pm on Thursday May 24.  A mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral in the Chapel of St Joseph on Friday May 25^th starting at 9:30am.  The final rite of committal and Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery 8361 Yonge St (Thornhill).  The family asks that donations be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or Padre Pio Group Centre of Canada PO Box 247, King City ON L7B 1E7.
