elevated z641h Obituary

elevated z641h We are saddened by the sudden passing of Anthony “Tony” Smith prior to his 70th birthday, at his home in Toronto.Tony was born in England to parents Morwenna Grunnill of Skegness, England and Reginald Smith of Cape Town, South Africa. Tony, the youngest of three kids, had a sister, Lesley, and a brother Frank.  He adored and looked up to them both. Years after the war, around the age of 5, the family boarded a ship in England to start a new adventure in Toronto, Canada.  Tony grew up in Toronto and later started a family of his own.  Growing up in a hippie era, Tony lived a carefree way of life and travelled across Canada as a young man. With friends he backpacked his way west to Vancouver, where he lived briefly. Eventually he returned to Toronto and settled down and met Karen Davis, a co-worker of his.  They married and had two children Chad and Ken. Life tends to have its’ ups and downs but he later found his true love in a kind, feisty woman by the name of Sharon Hoffe. Together they had many close friends and family whom they loved to spend time with. There are many fond memories of Tony and Sharon getting together with close friends. Talking, laughing and sharing stories late into the night. Tony had a great laugh with a dry, witty sense of humor as most Brits do. Tony and Sharon were the best of friends until her sudden passing in early 2010. Sharon remained in his thoughts and heart and we take comfort that in his death they are reunited in spirit. Tony will be missed by his sons Chad and Ken, their spouses Anne-Amor and Shannon, his grandchildren Abigail and Tyler. Tony will be also missed by his sister Lesley and her husband Steve, nieces, nephews, extended family members, close friends and many who have had the opportunity to spend time with him. Tony will always be in our hearts, because in there he is still alive.
