elevated 9nQJK It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing away of Lorne, on February 14, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 61 years to Norma. Predeceased by his parents Domenic and Mildred and brother Joseph (the late Elaine). Cherished brother in law to Rosalie (the late Jim Gregory) and Rita (Charles Pemberton). Adored uncle to Andrea (Dan King), David (Dolores Edwards), Valerie (John Moore) and Maureen (Brian Sutcliffe). Lorne will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his great nieces, nephews family and friends. If desired, donations may be made to Southlake and Sunnybrook Foundations.
I have beautiful memories of Uncle Lorne and Aunt Norma sharing dinners with our family. My dad (Peter Calzavara) and Uncle Lorna would nap after dinner with Aint Norma telling him to wake up. Always found it funny. When awake, Uncle Lorne was always positive and loving. He will be missed.
Condolences from the last Fabbro ( Ronnie ) who used to drive delivery truck for your father-in-lawlaw and brother Joey , another good one has left us .
Norma, I am so sad that Lorne has left this world, but feel privileged to have known him and to have cared for him. He had a wicked sense of humour and was a lovely person. He will be greatly missed.

I worked for Lorne at his ‘Barrett Brothers’ food wholesale business while in high school and university, during the 1970s.
Like his brother Joe, for whom I also worked, he was a very fair, kind and friendly man.
I remember that I always looked forward to going in to work — in spite of how hard the work might sometimes be.
Thank-you for those good years, Lorne!
