elevated MrT31 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Teresa Speciale at Harmony Hills Long Term Care Nursing Home on Saturday April 11th, 2020 at the age of 78. Devoted wife of Leonardo for 53 years. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Teresa Gallagher. A wonderful and caring Godmother to Lorraine Norman. Sweet and loving friend to Klara Colbert for many years. Klara took the time and care to see that Teresa had her evening meals, and she gave much comfort to Teresa. Teresa was a strong and devoted Catholic and parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Toronto. She worked for the Toronto District School Board for many years as a secretary in the guidance office at Leaside High School. She also leaves behind, and will be missed by many brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces & nephews of the Speciale and Mantia family.
elevated MrT31 Due to the unprecedented circumstance surrounding the COVID 19 pandemic, the immediate family will be gathering for a private visitation and service with interment to follow on Wednesday, April 15. A celebration of life for all of Teresa’s friends and family will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring & loving staff at Harmony Hills.

Dear Uncle Leo,
We are saddened to hear yesterday of Aunt Teresa’s passing in the Nursing Home.
I have wonderful memories of you and Aunt Teresa on Oakdene Cres., in Scarborough and in Markham.
John and I and our children always enjoyed our visits with you both at your house on Meighen Ave.
I remember when I was a young girl you and Aunt Teresa would say you are going to Marmora for the weekend to visit Aunt Teresa’s parents and now John and I live in Marmora.
When you and Aunt Teresa visited us in Marmora we enjoyed being taken for a drive north of Town.
Aunt Teresa showed us where she grew up in Marmora. We enjoyed having you at our house for the day.
I have informed several people in Marmora of Aunt Teresa’s passing and they express their condolences as they remember her parents and Aunt Teresa.
May wonderful memories of your 53 years of marriage and many years of travel around the World comfort you.

I had the privilege of meeting Teresa over 15 years ago through Klara…her most devoted friend! Teresa was such a pleasure to be with! We attended so many fun church activities together & enjoyed sitting in her beautiful yard in the summertime! Teresa was extremely intelligent. I will miss all those “hot” discussions we enjoyed over a glass of wine! Her suffering is over. It’s time for Teresa to truly start enjoying her life “forever after”!

Our hearts are truly filled with sadness during this difficult time. Together with Klara & Lloyd & Sue & Jim we all shared such wonderful times, in particular the ringing in of so many New Years together. Teresa especially loved her entertainment shows & magazines & we always joked she was our own “Mary Hart”. She was an amazing lady who has left an enduring footprint in our hearts. Rest in eternal peace our dearest Teresa. God Bless.
