elevated VIKE9 Rui Carvalho De Sousa was united with his Lord on September 25, 2020.
elevated VIKE9 Rui was born on July 27, 1929 in Bretanha São Miguel, Açores. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years Natalia Massa De Sousa. A devoted father to his eight children and a loving grandfather to his nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
elevated VIKE9 Together with his wife, they were founding members of the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Catholic Church in Scarborough. His dedication to his faith and community included bringing the Holy Spirit to the homes of the parishioners which he joyfully did annually with his son Aires.
elevated VIKE9 His grandchildren will fondly remember the family gatherings in his beautiful backyard with his prized fig tree. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
elevated VIKE9 Family will be received at Holy Cross Cemetery, Chapel of St. Joseph, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill on Tuesday September 29, 2020. Mass will also be live streamed for those who are unable to attend.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of a very nice man. Both Senhor Rui and Senhora Natalia were for many years devoted members of The Irrmandate do Espirito de Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosario in Scarborough.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of a great man. Rui was my uncle and a man of integrity, loyalty and compassion. His love for life, especially for his family was paramount to his well-being. As a child I have found memories of him visiting my dad at our house. Two brothers who until recently shared many good times and memories. May your soul rest in peace uncle Rui. So sorry to hear about your dad will always have lovely memories of annually going with him and Aires to parishioners house for the Holy Spirit and always ending at their house for your mom’s homemade bread and white cheese our sincere condolences to the whole family
