elevated 9eChj After a long battle with dementia and other health related issues, Raymond passed away at the Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 84, on January 2, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine, sons Ray Jr/Chantelle, Kenny (deceased), and Eric. Grandfather to Amelia. Born in Goa, he was a merchant sailor, travelling the world for 10 years, before marrying and arriving in Canada in 1969. He worked as a machine operator until his retirement. Raymond will be reunited with his sister Lucy/Simon, Ursula/Francis, Catherine/husband, brother Valarian/Mathilda, and mother-in-law Clara D’Souza. Brother in-law to Iris (deceased)/Hilary (deceased), Sr. Elfrieda D’Souza (Pakistan), Ignatius/Severina (U.S.), and Joan/Anthony (deceased).

It is sad to see Raymond go, but having watched him suffer over the years, i feel that God in his mercy, had compassion on him. Elaine, I admire your resilience. I know it was not easy but you never complained and always greeted me with a smile.. Eric, Dad could not have asked for a better son to help him in his final days.
May Raymond’s soul Rest in Peace.
