elevated q3pFp Our beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend, Stephen Lai passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on February 1, 2022 at the age of 76 years. He passed away from several illnesses one being Chronic Liver Disease.
elevated q3pFp He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Linda Lai; children, Yvonne and Matthew (Mei Ng Lai); grandchildren, Nyah Lai-Smith, Madison and Mackenzie Lai; sibings, Betty, Kit, Pui-Lun and Dennis.
elevated q3pFp Stephen moved from Hong Kong to Canada in 1975 in hopes of creating a better life for his family. He worked as a Civil Engineering up to his retirement which was a huge adjustment for him to deal with. But he found great joy in volunteering at Meals on Wheels and also helping the elderly – it gave him a new found purpose.
elevated q3pFp He will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered by those who whose lives he graced. Due to COVID-19 the funeral mass is private. Interment in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations made in memory of Stephen may be made to Canadian Liver Foundation.

My deepest sympathy to the Lai family. Mr. Lai will be missed, but never forgotten. Ladies – Yvonne, Nyah, Mrs. Lai – I am here for you, if you need me. I continue to pray for you all.

I’m so sorry for your lost Yvonne. I have so many childhood memories of him. I remember the day he showed me how to use chopsticks and that I won’t get any more dinners at your house until I got it right. Pls tell your mom that I’m thinking of her during this time.
