SPAGNOLO, Ida. Peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Trillium Hospital, in her 88th year. Beloved mother of Vince (Joni), Rosemary (Predeceased), Anthony (Sue), and Rose (Dave). Cherished Nonna to Chelsea, Christian, Kyle, and Keith.
elevated 2f0ab Predeceased by her brothers Giovanni and Guido, and her sister Olga. Survived by her sisters Elena, and Elvira, and many nieces and nephews.

My dear Zia Ida,
you were a pillar of faith and great inspiration to me in my youth. The way you prayed with love and devotion and
the way you willing sacrificed yourself for your family and friends was ADMIRABLE and HEROIC.
I still remember you climbing steep stairs on your knees in penance, (in reparation for sins of world) or walking bear foot while singing and praying your Rosary in processions. How many pilgrimages to Teopoli, Fatima Shrine, St. Anne and St Joseph, Our Lady of the Cape, etc…
Though you suffered many trials in life, your faith in Jesus lifted you up above earthly sorrows and gave you new life in the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for sharing your faith with me.
My dear cousins, Vince, Anthony and Rose, imitate her faith and you will be great saints. She will be closer to you now than ever before, in a spiritual way. She will be watching over you.

Every memory I have of your mother is a fond one. I have so many wonderful memories of the times I spent during my youth at the family home with Zia Ida and family, she was almost like a second mom. My sympathies to the family as you mourn the loss of a very special mother, may you find strength in all of your wonderful memories together.
