elevated 69KfY With heartfelt sorrow and profound gratitude, the family announces the peaceful passing of Ah Fong (Marguerite) in her sleep on Wednesday February 15, 2023 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Seung Sen (Georges) 18 months ago, Ah Fong was a loving mother to five children: Eileen, Christiane, Alain, Dominique and Bernadette, and mother-in-law to Michel, Nicholas, Christine and Ben. She was cherished by her eight grand-children: Matthew, Beverley (David), Stephanie (Noel), Andrew, Jeremy, Denny (Jen), Ashley, and Kimberley (Ricardo), and was particularly proud to be called Po-Tai (great-grandmother) by Maximilian and Kaycee. She will be remembered in the hearts of her many relatives in various parts of the world.
elevated 69KfY Ah Fong was born in Mauritius, the eldest of 13 children and moved to Toronto 35 years ago. She has always been very much aware of how beautiful her life has been, and was ever so grateful and thankful to God for His abundant blessings.
elevated 69KfY A private funeral mass will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm. If desired, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to Scarborough Health Network Foundation or Providence Healthcare would be much appreciated by the family.

My deepest sympathy to Mène, Chris, Alain, Dom and Oni for the passing of your dearest mom. She is now resting in a good place, next to our heavenly Father and your Dad, smiling and watching over all of you. Keeping her, and you and your family in my prayers. I had the privilege to have spent many memorable times with her during the past years and will always remember the joy she had at family gatherings. She will be sorely missed but not forgotten as a beloved mother, popo and potai.

Popo Chan, you are one cool lady with a beautiful soul. I will always remember you as a jolly person to whom it was easy to talk to and laugh with. One day many years ago, I asked you how should Tessa call you and you replied ‘Popo Chan’. It was very touching and an honour to call you Popo.
I also recall you and I were talking about your four daughters not too long ago. Boy oh boy, you are so proud of them and your pride was palpable. You have good reason to be, you have raised them well!

Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know.
In times like the ones you are going through it is hard to find the words that would make people we care about feel better.
The best memory I’ve from your mum is when she used to come and play “penkim” with my mum many years ago. She always had a great smile and her laughs were just contagious. We’ll certainly cherish all these good memories.
