elevated p2IDz Alajos Herczeg, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 25th 2023.
elevated p2IDz He was born in Orosztony, Hungary to Herczeg Péter and Nagy Mària.
elevated p2IDz He was a loving son, husband, father, and friend. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering.
elevated p2IDz He arrived in Canada in 1956, learned English, held various jobs while studying at McGill University to get recertified as a mechanical draughtsman, met his wife Monique and they were married for 61 years.
elevated p2IDz His greatest joys were his family whom he loved spending time with, his garden, discussing international history & politics, a great glass of wine and fixing anything around the house he could find. His natural creativity and problem-solving skills were used daily during his entire career and in several special home projects.

elevated p2IDz Alajos is survived by his loving wife Monique Caron and his devoted daughter Chantal.

My deepest condolences to you and your mom. Dad was such an inspiration to those who knew him and even those that have learned of him through you during this short time. May he rest in peace and be your guardian angel through life. Cherish the memories forever as they live on.
