elevated Tmp4h We are deeply saddened to share the news, that on April 22, 2024, we lost our hero Francisco Veiga Dias at the young age of 77; affectionately known by all who loved him as Frank, Chico, Silveira, and Cagarro. He passed away beautifully and at peace, surrounded by loved ones.
elevated Tmp4h Fearlessly immigrating to Canada 55 years ago, to establish a family, a life and a legacy by working hard and enjoying life.
elevated Tmp4h An unstoppable work force that enjoyed so much: the outdoors, gardening (plants, trees, grape vines), fishing (way back in time), and going to their trailer camp, going to the movies (anything Indiana Jones and James Bond), watching Dancas de Carnaval, watching tourada à corda e à praça, watching soccer, playing games (cards, dominos, checkers, tic-tac-toe, hangman), food; all of his wife’s traditional Portuguese cooking, The Mandarin, Harvey’s burgers, veal / steak paninis (San Francescos, Californias and That Italian Place), Portuguese chicken (Kensington Market (again, way back in time), Mario’s, Farol), pizza, matanças do porco e de vaca, desserts; his wife’s massa sovada, arroz doce and papas, queijadas (de nata, coco, leite, feijão, cerveja), pão com açúcar, bolachas com cafe drinking milk, coffee, beer and wine.
elevated Tmp4h Most of all he was a dedicated family man, who loved life and the people that surrounded him. He will be truly missed and always loved and remembered by his loving wife Carolina, grandsons Lucas & Cole, daughter-in-law Lisa and son Emanuel. Funny note: he was very ticklish.

Larry and I are so very sorry for your loss. May you find peace as all your great memories of him come to mind.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss to Carolina his life partner and family, Lisa, Manny, Lucas and Cole. I remember when I first met him at one of Lisa’s Parties that he loved a cruise he took recently and talked about the places he visited. He was a very happy man as I remembered. Our prayers & thoughts are with you.
Francisco was a very kind, observant person, who was always upbeat. He’ll forever be in our hearts.
