elevated lMoVF Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa Mallia
on January 31, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Mallia
devoted mother to Charlie Mallia (Joanne) and Maria Mallia (Bogdan). Proud Grandmother to Kevin Mallia (Paulina), Laura Camera (Mike), Nathan Mallia, Charlotte Mallia and Spencer Poprawski (Iulia). Proud great-grandmother to Claire Camara.
elevated lMoVF Rosa was one of a kind, and we are incredibly proud to call her Mom. She was a loving mom,
grandmother, great-grandmother and to her adored dog, Poochie. She was a friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand, or a listening ear, or brighten a room with her smile. She had unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends.
elevated lMoVF Rosa nursed at The Princess Margaret Hospital for 40 years. Her knowledge of speaking several
languages helped the countless number of patients and their caregivers in need. Never one to shy away from a new activity whether it be knitting, sailboarding or running. Rosa was very involved in the Maltese Community especially the carnival during the 60’s and 70’s. She was a dancer for most of her life dancing for charity or weddings.
elevated lMoVF She was a strong willed woman and extremely independent, unfortunately that would all come to an end in 2022 when she was diagnosed with Dementia. As she could no longer live on her own she was moved to an Assisted Living Retirement Home, then to The McCall Centre.
elevated lMoVF The family would like to extend their gratitude and care to The Beechwood Assisted Care Home and The McCall Centre for Palliative Care. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Due to the distance, our paths only crossed once, unfortunately, but that moment remains unforgettable in my memory.
Rosa, you welcomed us, Jeannette, Anthony and me, Ghislaine, into your home with such kindness. I would like to thank you for that warm welcome and your generosity.
Forever in my heart
