Olinda Fernanda de Jesus da Silva Agostinho, 94, passed away peacefully on June 1st, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Olinda Fernanda  was born on September 25, 1930, in Nariz, Aveiro, Portugal. In 1952, Olinda moved to Luanda, Angola, later returning to Portugal in1963.  She immigrated to Canada in 1966 where she worked at Calvert Flowers and then Holophane as a labourer. After a brief return to Portugal she settled permanently in Canada in 1986 to be with her family. 

Olinda Fernanda lived a life full of love, faith, and generosity. She was known for her strength, her humility and kindness. Her joy in caring for her family and the way she made everyone feel at home is one of the many reasons why she was loved so dearly.

Olinda Fernanda is survived by her children, Maria Celeste Dias, Victor Marques, and George Agostinho, her son in- law Sergio Dias, daughter in-laws Isabel Marques, Marcie Agostinho,  beloved grandchildren  Claudio (Crystal), Miguel (Barbara), Monica (Esteban), Victor (Giulliana), Nicole (Jean Carlos), Daniel,  Megan, and cherished great-grandchildren Bruno, Oliver, Amelia, Sofia, Miguel, Mila, and Augusto. She was preceded in death by her spouse Manuel Marques Agostinho.

Her life was a blessing to all who knew her and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
