Frank (Francis) Savel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank (Francis) Savel on August 4th, 2025, at the age of 89. Frank passed away at Humber River Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Toronto, Frank spent his final years in the care and comfort of Villa Colombo. Known for his warm heart and quick wit, he had a remarkable ability to light up a room with a joke and make those around him smile.

Frank was a man of simple joys—he loved fishing, telling stories about “the big one that got away”, and had a lifelong soft spot for the many dogs he cared for over the years. His kindness, sense of humour, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.

He is now reunited with his beloved wife Anny Savel and cherished daughter Joanne, who predeceased him.

Frank is lovingly remembered by his son, James Savel, and daughter-in-law Rose Savel; his granddaughter Janelle Savel, his grandson Mark Savel and his wife Adriana Suyck. His memory will continue to live on in the stories they share, the lessons he passed down, and the laughter he inspired.
