elevated Sf0wd It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our dad, Sandro Lorenzon, on August 12, 2025, at the age of 64. Sandro leaves behind his 3 kids, Michael (Michelle), Andrea & Vanessa, his wife, Virginia, his mother, Marcella, sister Isa, brother Elvis (Nadia) and his granddaughter, Milena. Sandro now joins his dad, Giovanni and our beloved family dog, Timmy, in Heaven.
elevated Sf0wd Our dad was always happiest when he was surrounded by his family. Sunday dinners at his house, making all the dad jokes, barbecuing, sports game on in the background. We would show up at the door, and he would flash that big grin and open his arms wide for the best dad hug. The most loving Nonno, he adored his granddaughter Milena and couldn’t wait to see her and hold her. He truly did everything for his kids and for his family, a man with the biggest heart.

Sandro was a great colleague, respected mentor and above all else a valued friend to the entire Casio family. He developed close relationships with his genuine caring personality, sense of humor and a keen desire to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Truly a gentle giant among us, he will be greatly missed but ever so fondly remembered. We were blessed and honored to have worked with Sandro for 27 wonderful years and will keep his memory in our hearts.

Though I only had the privilege of knowing Sandro for a short time, it didn’t take long to see what a wonderful person he was — genuine, kind, and a great sense of humour. I am devastated by the loss of my best friend. We have been friends since grade 2 and have never had a disagreement. I am going to miss the phone calls where I pick up the phone and hear his voice “ LIIPS.”

We had the privilege of meeting Sando over the last three years while on holiday in Negril, Jamaica. We had some lovely long chats on the beach, learnt all about shovelling snow and why it was so important for Canada to beat the USA at ice hockey!

Sandro I came to this country at 17 from Italy, not speaking a word of English. Met you in high school the following year 1977 and we been friends since. You and your group of friends took me in and made me feel at home. I will always remember all the good times we had their etched in my brain, I will miss you, save a spot for me up there and we will play briscola again,
