elevated rfmU9 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mom Clorinda Maria Laratta (nee Forgione) on November 2, 2025, at Mackenzie Health Hospital at the age of 73, surrounded by her children and her sister.
elevated rfmU9 Born in Prezza, province of L’Aquila, in the region of Abruzzo Italy on March 5, 1952, to the late Attilio and Lunalba Forgione. Clorinda immigrated to Canada with her parents and brother at the age of 15. Italy always held a special place in Clorinda’s heart as she left behind childhood friends and a loving family.
elevated rfmU9 Clorinda lived a life filled with faith, love, strength, compassion, empathy, selflessness, joy and a strong dedication to her family and friends. She was the devoted wife to her loving husband Vito, and the proud mother to her adoring children Nicola and Sonia. A loving grandmother to Samantha, Liliana and Marcus Laratta and a very dear sister of Anna (Brian) and Domenic (Diana). Clorinda will especially be missed by her adoring niece Emma as well as her other nieces and nephews. Family was at the heart of everything Clorinda did, her selflessness will be remembered always.
elevated rfmU9 The family would like to thank Dr. Hanna as well as the nurses and medical team at Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill for their exceptional kindness, support and care shown to Clorinda and her family throughout her illness and in her final days.

Sonia, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family for the loss of your loving and beautiful mother during this very sad and difficult time. Losing a loved one on All Souls Day is the immeasurably uneasiest thing to deal with in the human race and may God comfort you and your family during these saddening days ahead and may your mother be in the arms of the Guardian Angels and Our Saviour.
