elevated QTN3J It is with the greatest sadness I have ever experienced that I share this news. Late on Tuesday evening, my wife, my partner, my best friend, and the mother of my two beautiful sons lost her heroic year-and-a-half-long fight with an ongoing medical condition that took her health and her strength, but never her smile or her beautiful spirit.
elevated QTN3J We were together for 25 years. We grew together, suffered losses, celebrated successes, and built a life to be proud of. Elizabeth’s kindness and optimism endeared her to all who met her. She, in every way, brought out the best in me and in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
elevated QTN3J We are devastated beyond words. The only solace we take at this time is knowing that her pain has come to an end. It was the greatest gift imaginable to have a woman as amazing as Elizabeth to share my life with. Although we were together for 25 years, it was not nearly enough time. She deserved, in every way, to watch her children grow, to see the fruits of her labour blossom, and to enjoy the life we built together.
elevated QTN3J It was the honour of my life to care for her, to comfort her, and to love her throughout the past year and a half as she fought to overcome the monumental medical challenges she faced. She was, and always will be, my hero. She met every challenge with a grace unmatched in our time.
elevated QTN3J We will carry on, if for nothing else, to honour her and to carry forward her legacy of caring, respect, and love for all people. I see so much of her reflected in the faces of our children. They will remain a constant reminder of the wonderful person she was.
elevated QTN3J Elizabeth Anne O’Keefe is survived by her Husband Sean O’Keefe her sons Fionn (9) and Rory (7), Her Mother Patricia Spadafora, Sister and Brother In Law Kathleen and Mark Scatozza, Brother and Sister In-law Adam and Jennifer Spadafora, Nephews Barrett (7) Nicholas (5) and Sibling Keilan Spadafora and Wife Andrea. Mother in law Sharon O’Keefe, sister in law Stacey and Jamie Dewsnap as well as nephews Colin (18), and Liam (16)

Such touching words for a deserved person. I am very sorry for your loss.
Knowing Liz since she was in university with our daughter, Cheryl, has been such a blessing for our family.

Words can’t express how sorry I am for your loss. It’s small comfort but she is no longer in pain. My heart goes out to you and your precious boys. I can’t imagine such young hearts going through such heartbreak. You were an amazing husband to Elizabeth and she will be missed by all who knew her

I had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth, and it was truly an honor to care for her. Even while she was fighting and not feeling well, she never lost her kindness or respect toward those caring for her in the hospital. Her optimism was something I deeply admired and spoke volumes about the wonderful person she was. She always spoke so beautifully about her family. To her husband, who is grieving—your strength was evident. I witnessed the love and devotion you showed Elizabeth, caring for her like the queen she was and ensuring she had everything she needed to be as comfortable as possible.
I was very saddened to hear this news. Elizabeth was an AMAZING SUPERVISOR and a compassionate human being. I am grateful to have met her and worked with her. RIP Elizabeth.

I’m am so saddened by the news of Liz’s passing. I have such fond memories of driving all over the province with her to visit camps, laughing and story telling. What a huge loss for anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. I’ll be sending my thoughts and prayers to her family.

Sean, I am so very sorry to hear about Elizabeth’s passing and my heart goes out to you and your boys for this incredible loss. We at CHIRS remember Elizabeth as kind and compassionate and so full of life. It was many years ago that she worked with us but she’s impossible to forget! I hope that your loving memories of your life together bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Hello Sean and boys – so very sorry for your loss! I just learned today of Elizabeth’s untimely passing – far too early for one so full of life. I met her in 2013 when I had recently retired from teaching, and she interviewed me for a job with Caledon Recreation, to run a seniors program in various locations across the Town. Together we planned and developed the “Classic Cafe”, which offered Caledon seniors a monthly get together in their own communities, to enjoy conversation, a guest speaker, lunch, and a fun game or activity. Twelve years later, the program is still strong, proving Elizabeth’s understanding of community and her vision for a better future! What a gift!
I had the privilege of attending St Leo’s Catholic school with Elizabeth from Jr Kindergarten to Grade 8. I was devastated to hear the news of her passing. Because my experience with Elizabeth while growing up at St Leo’s with her in school was that she was the most kindest, gentlest, honest, gracious person I have ever encountered in my entire life. I was there when she won the leading role in our grade 2 concert. She had a beautiful singing voice. Like an angel. While attending St Leo at the same time, we went through our first communion and confirmation in the Catholic faith and graduated at St Leo in the Class of 1994. When I think back she exemplified what it meant to be a follower of Jesus at St Leo’s. She was always friendly, kind, and respectful to others. It was encouraging to hear from family and friends that she hadn’t changed one bit. There is no doubt in my heart she is with our Father in heaven experiencing the glory and love of Jesus. May the Presence and love of the Holy Spirit comfort Sean, Fionn, Rory and all Spadafora family and friends during this time of great sorrow and grief. I am fortunate to have shared those special years from age 4-14 with Elizabeth. May God rest her soul.
