Donna Marie Boland (nee Caruso) sadly passed away on February 10th, 2026 at Providence Healthcare. She is predeceased by her husband Jimmy Boland, parents Samuel and Lucy Caruso, her brother Ronald, and her sister Barbara (Michael). She will be very greatly missed by her heartbroken family; brothers Frank (Pam) and Gary (Eleanor); and her many loving nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Donna’s greatest joy was gathering everyone together and always loved to be around her family. As the matriarch of our family, she opened both her heart and her home, and her house became a cherished landmark where generations gathered for holidays, milestones and love.

Losing a friend after almost 70 years, what to say. No more phone calls when Sound of Music was on laughing about dancing and singing “Confidence” along Bloor Street, being in Florida at 21? and going to Lawrence Welk Show for her mother, California and Vegas last couple of days wearing the same clothes because we had put on too much weight, Donna not being able to get out of car because her skirt was caught on the centre gear shift in Vegas. So many memories, ups and downs. I have no words!!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Caruso family at the loss of a dear sister. I am truly sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She was always giving of herself. What I loved about her was she was funny. Donna was an inspiration for myself and her sister Barbara’s friends. She valued her family and every Sunday with her husband Jimmy visited her mom to enjoy a great Italian meal together. She was very supportive to her late sister’s daughters and guided them with her words of wisdom, kindness and love. May God grant you peace and comfort to know that she is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Sincerely,

We are so sorry for your loss. Donna was such a special lady. We look fondly back at many wonderful times with her. She was such a huge source of support during our Aunt Maureen’s illness. I am so sorry for the loss of our dear cousin Donna. My mom (Marie Kondrit) and Donna were very close. She had such a wonderful personality and was such a sweet soul. I pray that Donna has joined my mom in heaven, where they are no longer suffering and can finally rest in peace. Donna will be greatly missed. Love Tina (Kondrit) Campbell and the Campbell family.

I have many great memories of our teenage years together. I always looked forward to seeing Donna and the girl’s on my
trips to Toronto from Victoria. We never missed a beat seeing each other and had so many laughs going down memory lane.

To Donna’s wonderful family with my deepest condolences.
Missing my dearest friend and feeling her loss every day. We went back a very long time, starting at Moss Park when we were preteens, on the hill at the baseball diamond, skating at the ice rink at night when we were around 10 or 11. Gathering at the John Innes Community Centre with friends, and always watching the boys playing floor hockey, via the sitting area above the rink eating sunflower seeds. Oh, yeh, and remembering the Friday night dances at the Centre. Oh what happy memories we had. Double dating with Donna and Jimmie, going to the Golden Mile theatre to see Bullitt with Steve McQueen in ‘68. We could recall at a moments notice, so many happy memories of our youth. Even though we lost touch for awhile, a surprise phone call from her in the late 90s, and we were together again sharing Friday night dinners at Swiss Chalet. We said we would be friends forever, and we were.
I’ll miss you forever …
