elevated KER6u At the precious age of 66, Gino leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years Denise (née Theriault), and his beloved sons Steven and Robert, along with his favorite daughter-in-law Vanessa (née Charbonneau), who all grieve the loss of the family patriarch.
He was the youngest child of Angelo and Velia (Del Bono); with siblings Pina (Alfredo De Simone), Enrico (late), and Mary (Sam Buttiglieri).
He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, along with their families, who appreciate all that he has done for them.
elevated KER6u His colleagues at Trinova Designs Corp., a division of M.A.M Group, will miss his presence after 33+ years of service. He designed or contributed to the construction of over 50,000 homes, with his work filling the streets of many Southern Ontario communities.
elevated KER6u He grew up in the Dufferin and Davenport neighborhood, and attended Ryerson University in the late 70’s. After marriage and starting their family, Gino and Denise planted roots in Maple, Ontario in the early 90’s and remained in the community, even after the tornadoes of 2009 tried to blow them away. The families from Pentland and Burnhaven will miss having him and his carefully curated wine at the pool parties, gatherings and milestone events that he would never want to miss.
elevated KER6u His wisdom, knowledge, and patience were happily shared with all of his family, friends, work mates and even strangers. The many closets, cabinets, shelves and backyard decks with his handprints on them represent his humongous and charitable, woodworking heart.
He had a grand atmosphere, and integrity that was always on display for those who were lucky enough to be by his warm and wonderful glow.
He met the challenge of this horrible disease with a courage that few have, and battled it with a strength that made us all proud. His bravery has only added to his incredible legacy.
elevated KER6u In lieu of flowers, Gino would like everyone to consider donating to Canadian Blood Services (Blood.ca), in cash or in kind, as a testament to what was greatly needed in the battle he waged.

With your last breath you are still teaching us. Teaching us how a man, a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle should act!
You planned every meticulous detail, ensuring that your family would be ready for life without you. You showed us what true strength and love look like — strength that is humble, love that is profound, and bravery that is unmatched.
I want to say thank you. Thank you for being the example of courage, integrity, and sacrifice. Thank you for being the foundation of our family, and thank you for showing us how to live with honor, dignity, and grace.
Your legacy will forever inspire us. And though we will miss you beyond words, we will carry your spirit, your lessons, and your love with us, always.

It has been a honour to have known Gino with many memories filled with laughter and to witness his generosity and incredible personality.

I had the privilege of working for Gino about 15 years ago and was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I look back on my time at Trinova with gratitude for the guidance he gave me early in my career. I’ll always remember how he spoke of his boys with such pride.

To the Alicandri family. I am so sorry for your loss. Though I haven’t seen Gino in a while I will always remember his personality, wit and compassion. I learned a lot from Gino when I first started in the construction industry. He was a great mentor and teacher.
He will be missed.

The entire Building Industry will miss Gino’s professionalism. Although we met late in his career, his sole for the industry and persona were abundant. I am saddened that we won’t be able to share a glass of wine and a few stories any more. May God bless his family and everyone touched by his work and love.
