elevated YaREn Stefan grew up in Slovenia in the small village of Crensovci where he helped his parents on the farm and vineyard. He served two years in the Yugoslavian army focusing on training as an Armor Crew member and then worked as a brick layer in Slovenia and Austria until he immigrated to Canada in 1965. In Toronto, he studied at George Brown College and became a steamfitter and plumber (member of Local 46) and worked hard in construction until the age of 61. Stefan waited for Angela to come to Canada, and they married on May 20, 1967. They built a life together and had two beautiful daughters. Stefan was a man that loved being with his family and telling stories. He also enjoyed getting together with the Slovenian community especially at Evening Bell.  He was always someone that enjoyed the outdoors, ice fishing, gardening, being at the cottage and fixing things. He will be remembered for his smile, sense of humour, strong work ethic, his love for his family and his sky-blue eyes.

elevated YaREn He will be extremely missed and never forgotten. His family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Home and Community Care and the Alzheimer’s Society for their compassionate care and friends and family who have helped along the way.
