elevated sOhXw It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Veronika Ivic on May 15, 2026, at Niagara Health Hospital, in her 95th year.
elevated sOhXw Veronika is now reunited with her beloved husband, Anton. She was the devoted mother of Tonka (Ante, predeceased) and the late Cathy (Enzo, predeceased). She was the cherished grandmother of Bernadette, Mike (Melissa), Nicholas (Brittney), and John Paul (Claire), and the loving great‑grandmother of Penny, Isabella, Grayson, Rudy, Ante, and Matteo.
elevated sOhXw She was the dear sister of Liza, and is predeceased by her siblings Olga, Stef, Vincent, and Slavko, all of whom lived in Slovenia. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life. She will also be fondly remembered by her dear friend EJ and family.
elevated sOhXw Veronika was known for her vibrant spirit, her strength, and the deep love she held for her family. She expressed that love through her cooking, preparing meals that brought comfort, tradition, and togetherness to every gathering. She also found great joy in her flowers, tending to her garden with care and pride. Her home, her kitchen, and her garden were reflections of her character—lively, hardworking, and full of heart.
elevated sOhXw She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
elevated sOhXw In honour of Veronika’s life, the family invites you to raise a shot of brandy—her favourite drink—in her memory.
