It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guido Pietro Francavilla, who passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 89.

elevated gCPbg Born on January 18, 1937, in Aprigliano, Calabria, Italy, Guido built a life defined by hard work, unwavering devotion to his family, and simple joys that brought him happiness.

elevated gCPbg Guido was the beloved husband of Gina, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a devoted father to Joe (Rosemary) and Claire (Lou), and a proud and loving Nonno to Daniel (Dianne), Kristen (Joe), Michael, and Jenna. Nothing brought Guido greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to attend their events and celebrates their achievements, cheering them on with immense pride and unconditional love.

He is survived by his loving sister, Franca (Cosimo), and by several cherished nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his kindness, generosity, and sense of family.

elevated gCPbg Guido was predeceased by his beloved parents, Chiara and Giuseppe; his sisters, Gina (Pietro) and Teresa (Adamo); and his brother, Antonio.

He had a lifelong passion for soccer, enjoyed trying his luck with lottery tickets, and took great pride in caring for his beloved fig trees.

elevated gCPbg Guido had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether family stopped by or friends gathered for a visit, he was happiest behind his espresso machine, preparing cappuccinos with care and ensuring no guest ever left without a warm drink and good conversation.

Above all else, family was Guido’s greatest treasure. His love, guidance, quiet strength, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
