elevated llsfO God called Teresa LaRosa peacefully on July 14, 2026, in her 102nd year of life.

elevated llsfO Born in Mammola, Reggio Calabria, Italy, Teresa immigrated to Toronto in 1958 with her young daughters, leaving behind her small hometown with dreams of building a better life for her family. Through her unwavering strength, hard work, and selfless devotion, she built a loving home and laid the foundation for generations to come. Teresa was sharp-witted, loving, and a source of wisdom for all who knew her. She proved that love, and laughter were the true secrets to a long full life. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she has touched.

elevated llsfO Teresa is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Carmelo, whom she missed dearly, as well as her siblings, Maria Rosa and Domenico Capogreco. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her cherished daughters, Angela Ieraci (Nicodemo), Giovanna Scarfo (the late Carmelo), and Lidia Cestra (the late Mauro).

elevated llsfO A proud and devoted Nonna, Teresa leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Johnny (Lucy), Danny (Marianna), Sylvia, Nancy (John), Theresa (Marco), Domenic (Elisa), Mariah (Ryan), and Katia (Adam). She was also a treasured “Big” Nonna to her great-grandchildren: Isabella, Nadia, Nicholas, Luca, Francesco, Sofia, Sara, Christopher, Gianluca, and Madeleine, who brought her immense joy and pride.

elevated llsfO Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, extended family, dear friends, personal support workers – especially Jane, whose compassion and care meant so much to Teresa and her family. Teresa’s unwavering love for her family, generous spirit, and quiet strength will remain an enduring source of inspiration for generations to come.
