elevated MNyQ8 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antoinette “Toni” Crasto, who passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, in her 77th year, surrounded by her family and friends.
elevated MNyQ8 Toni was born in Karachi, Pakistan, to David and Romaldine Crasto. She spent her early years in Karachi before immigrating to Canada in 1979. She eventually made her home in Pickering, Ontario, where she became a cherished member of the community and built a life defined by kindness, faith, and devotion to those she loved.
elevated MNyQ8 A deeply thoughtful woman, Toni had a gift for making others feel cared for. Through simple acts of generosity, heartfelt conversations, and unwavering support, she enriched the lives of those around her. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast faith touched countless lives.
elevated MNyQ8 Toni’s greatest joys were her family, friends, and faith. She is survived by her beloved son, Anthony (Kathryn); her devoted siblings, Helen Crasto (Zia), Nicholene Rangel, and Robert Crasto; her many cherished nieces and nephews; and her church community, along with the many dear friends who became like family throughout the years.
elevated MNyQ8 Toni was predeceased by her parents, David and Romaldine Crasto; her sister, Clara D’Costa; her brother, John Crasto; and her sister, Thomascine D’Costa.
elevated MNyQ8 Toni will be remembered for her compassionate heart, steadfast faith, and the values that guided how she cared for others. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
elevated MNyQ8 Our family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated physicians, nurses, and caregivers whose compassionate care and unwavering support over the past several months brought great comfort to Toni and our family. Their kindness and professionalism will never be forgotten.

There are no words to express how saddened I am to learn of the passing of my dear friend, Toni.
I’ve known Toni since 2009, when I started joining the pilgrimages to the Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and to Montreal, Quebec. She was like a sister and a mother to me, always giving me advice about life, reminding me of the importance of prayer, and encouraging me to always pray for others.
Toni had a strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and a deep devotion to our Blessed Mother. The last time we chatted was on March 9, for about five minutes. She told me that she always included my mom and me in her prayers. I will always cherish those words.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to her entire family. May our Lord comfort your hearts and grant you strength during this difficult time.
Rest in peace with our Lord, dear Toni. I will miss you and our conversations. But this is not goodbye—until we meet again.

My sincere condolences
I worked with Toni at BMO for many years. She always had a smile on her face and a funny tongue in cheek comment delivered in her anglised Konkani accent about the happenings around. Hilarious, friendly with a motherly affection. Proud to share Anthony’s achievements.
May the Holy Spirit grant her soul eternal rest and may her family have the strength to cope without her physical presence.
