elevated 0NG0O It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucia Bottoni on July 30, 2026, in the comfort of her home at the age of 91. 

elevated 0NG0O Lucia was a beloved wife of Vito Bottoni. Lucia was a devoted and loving mother to Filomena (Angelo Colacci), Antonietta (Mario Guevara), Sandy (Michael Simone) and Mario (Mary).  She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Filippo, Tina (Daniel), Vito (Alda), Annalia, Michael. Jonathan, Luciana (Thomas), and Vittorio and an adoring great-grandmother to Joseph, Christina, Anna, Emilia, and Sofia.

elevated 0NG0O In 1973 Lucia and her husband, Vito, immigrated to Canada in search of a brighter future, working tirelessly to build the life they had always dreamed of. Throughout her working years, Lucia earned the admiration and respect of everyone who knew her for her professionalism, dedication, compassion and unwavering kindness.

elevated 0NG0O Lucia was truly the heart and soul of her family. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit brought comfort, laughter and joy wherever she went. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, and nothing brought her greater happiness than gathering loved ones around the table. Cooking was her love language and every meal she prepared was an expression of love and care she carried in her heart.

elevated 0NG0O Having lived in the same home since the 1970s, Lucia built lifelong friendships with her neighbours, who became an extension of her family. She touched countless lives through her kindness, gentle nature, and generous heart, leaving behind treasured memories that will never be forgotten.

elevated 0NG0O Lucia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family, friends, neighbours, and all whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, strength, generosity and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
