It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Pietro Rimasti on August 1, 2026, at the age of 87. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family.
Born on October 4, 1938, in Corleone, Sicily, Pietro was the son of the late Giovanni Rimasti and Maria Mule. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, cherished brother, and loyal friend whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength touched the lives of all who knew him.
Pietro leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Vita, his daughters Mary (Rick), Pina (Mike) and Daniela ( Anthony) and his son Giovanni (Marisa). He leaves behind nine grandchildren whom he adored: Giuliana (Mike), Linda, David, Mario, Steven, Ariana, Isabella, Adam and Antonio. He will also be missed by his great grandchildren, Myles and Romeo. Pietro will always be lovingly remembered by his sister, Gina, his extended family, and many dear friends. He has joined his predeceased siblings, Rosalia and Angelo, in heaven.
Pietro lived his life with an open heart and a generous spirit, always putting the needs of others before his own. He found his greatest joy in caring for his enormous garden every summer so that he could share his harvest with family and friends. He was always the life of the party and welcomed everyone into his home, offering endless cheese, soppressata, olives, fresh bread and his home made wine and grappa. Everyone who sat at his table felt like family and no one ever left hungry.
He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether gathered around the table playing Italian cards, admiring classic cars, playing with family pets, listening and singing to music and taking endless pictures of his family.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Pietro sounds like a man I would have enjoyed getting to know. Thank you for sharing such a beautifully written overview of his life. He is leaving quite a legacy. Our thoughts are with you.
It is with great sadness that we extend our deepest condolences for the loss of Pietro. He was the kindness, most generous and loving man. He will be greatly missed by so many. Thank you, Pietro for all you did for us ❤️
