elevated 0OheG It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edda Agnese Moretto, on August 6, 2026 at the age of 95.Edda was born in Codroipo, Friuli, Italy on January 21, 1931 to Antonio and Luigia Morello. She immigrated to Toronto via New York in 1954 to marry her fiance Eliseo Moretto on April 3, 1954.

elevated 0OheG She is predeceased by her husband Eliseo and siblings Pierino, young Renzo, Agnese, Martino, Renzo, and Loretta, as well as her brothers-in-law Gino (Norma) and Cesare. She will be dearly missed and is survived by sons Luigino (Diana), John (Diane), Remo (Lisa) and daughter Nadia (Biagio). She is also survived by her sister Rita, sisters-in-law Vittorina, Bruna and Carol. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her grandchildren Justin, Erica, Lauren, Stephanie (Luke), Sophia, Joey, Cristian, Madeline and Elise. She is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

elevated 0OheG For most of her married life, mom was a homemaker. Tending to the family, lovingly raising and nurturing four children and often caring for her young grandchildren was paramount. In their later years, mom and dad enjoyed spending extended weekends at the family built cottage and getting together with friends and relatives there.

elevated 0OheG Mom and dad were active members of the Famee Furlane Social Club where they formed many friendships and participated in numerous cross Canada conferences and local events, picnics and dances.

elevated 0OheG Mom also had a great passion for singing and sang for many years with the Societa Femenile Choir at the Famee Furlane Social Club. She also participated in many gatherings hosted by the Eta D’Oro seniors club of the Famee Furlane. Mom was an active resident at Villa Leonardo Gambin Long Term Care Home.

elevated 0OheG Mom you will forever be remembered, forever cherished, forever loved and missed.

elevated 0OheG The family extends heartfelt thanks to the care and support given to mom over the years by the 7th floor nurses, PSWs and staff at Villa Leonardo Gambin and especially to her caregivers Marianna, Nina, Eva, Lucia and Nives.
