elevated ncXEd It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Antonio Figliomeni. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. 

elevated ncXEd Antonio was born on November 9, 1948, in Siderno, Reggio Calabria, Italy, to his parents Rosa De Leo and Giuseppe Figliomeni. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Teresa, a caring and loving father to his children Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Rosa, and Marilena, and a loving father-in-law to Michael. His two grandchildren, Joseph and Emma, were his pride and joy.

elevated ncXEd At just 17 years old, Antonio immigrated to Canada in search of a better life. He was a disciplined and incredibly hard-working man who believed in doing things the right way. He worked hard throughout his life and took great pride in the life he built for his family. Above all, Antonio was a family man. His wife, children, and grandchildren were at the center of his world, and he took great pride in each of them.

elevated ncXEd He was a man of strong values and morals, stoic by nature, yet with a loving, wise, and gentle soul. A true gentleman, he was dependable, a wonderful listener, and always there for the people he loved.

elevated ncXEd Antonio found joy in the simple things. He loved western movies and Italian music, especially Gianni Morandi, Little Tony, Adriano Celentano, Bobby Solo, and we can’t forget Tom Jones. He took great pride in his vegetable garden and enjoyed building things and fixing things around the house. But what he loved most was his family. He loved having everyone together, sharing a meal, sitting around the table, and simply being in each other’s company. For Antonio, those were the moments that mattered most.

elevated ncXEd His passing is an immense and incomprehensible loss to his family and all those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Teresa; his children, Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Rosa (Michael), and Marilena; his grandchildren, Joseph and Emma; his siblings, the late Domenico (Lina), the late Maria and Cosimo, the late Carlo (Maria), the late Ida (Cesare), the late Liliana (Francesco), Pina (Rocco); and his in-laws, the late Salvatore, Domenico (Stella), and Angelina (Luciano). He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
