Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Krystyna Susla, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and nurse who passed away on August 27, 2026.
Krystyna will be remembered for her strength, independence, warmth and deep love for her family. Her profession as a nurse reflected her caring nature and dedication to others.
For more than 50 years, she shared her life with her husband, Jan. Together, they came to Canada as a young family and built a loving home and life centred around their daughters, Justyna and Diana.
Her greatest joy was her family. Krystyna was a loving mother, supportive, protective and encouraging. She always wanted the best for her daughters and to provide them with every opportunity. Her family grew to include five grandchildren Chloe, Julie and Manon, the children of Justyna, and Lucas and Elodie, the children of Diana. She loved being a grandmother and cherished each of them.
Krystyna admired the natural beauty of everyday life. She loved her garden, particularly her lavender and roses. Watching them grow and creating beautiful spaces around her gave her great pleasure.
Her appreciation for beauty extended into many other parts of her life. She loved music, art, fashion and animals. She had a distinctive affection for the family dogs, those that she grew up with as well as those who belonged to her daughters and extended family. They were always welcomed with warmth and special affection.
She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: an English tea or rose hip tea, time in the garden, music at home, a beautiful flower in bloom or finding something special while shopping.
Her Polish heritage and family history remained an important part of who she was. She valued the stories, traditions and connections that linked generations.
She leaves behind her husband, Jan; her daughters, Justyna and Diana; and her five grandchildren, who will carry her love and memory in their hearts.
Krystyna will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, her presence will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the many memories they shared.
The family is deeply grateful to all the relatives and friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
