elevated Vgu3C Obituary
elevated Vgu3C It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Cannataro (née Rende) on Friday, October 2nd, at the age of 85.
elevated Vgu3C Born in Rende, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, Ida came to Canada where she met and married her husband Alfredo Cannataro and built a beautiful life with together, they raised their three children, Carlo, Danny, and Marisa, in North York, Toronto and later moved to Brampton, in retirement where they spent the last 26 years.
elevated Vgu3C Ida was an incredibly hardworking woman who worked full-time throughout her life while also caring for her family and her in-laws, Antonio Giuseppe, and Emilia Cannataro. But her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law who would do anything for the people she loved.
elevated Vgu3C Ida was also an amazing cook. Her family will always remember her legendary lasagna and the wonderful meals she prepared for every family gathering. With two stoves going and more food than anyone could possibly eat, she always made sure everyone left with a full stomach—and something to take home.
elevated Vgu3C She was loved dearly by her children and grandchildren, Michael and Christopher, Daniel and Amanda Cannataro, as well as her son-in-law John Canellos, daughters-in-law Melanie Cannataro and Svitlana Sobolevska. Ida welcomed everyone into her heart and always tried to make those around her happy.
elevated Vgu3C She gave her family a lifetime of love, hard work, generosity, and devotion. Her home, her cooking, and her love brought everyone together, and her memory will on forever and will live on in the family she cherished so deeply.
elevated Vgu3C Ida will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Ida and Alfred Where two of the most sweetest human beings I ever had the honour of knowing now she may rest in peace with her beloved husband
We were all so fortunate to have a mom like this she gave her life to her family and all her friends the most proper innocent lady I know she will be missed by everyone I’m so blessed to be a part of her life near the last years of her life and even though she was diagnosed with dementia she knew who we were right to the end love you mom you will never leave my heart
Dear Zia Ida, i will miss our phone calls very much. You always found a way to make me laugh & ask me how my Family was especially my twin Grandchildren. You will always be that special Zia to me and will cherish all the great times our Families spent together growing up.
