Established in 1855, Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services – Archdiocese of Toronto (CCFS) is a non-profit organization that operates cemeteries and funeral homes throughout the greater Toronto area.  Due to our rapid and continued growth, we are currently hiring a full time Business Analyst (BA) to join our team located in our Markham corporate office.  This new position will work closely with several departments including Operations, Sales and Service, Finance, and IT. The role provides a qualified individual with the opportunity to assist us in identifying opportunities, facilitating change, and maintaining our status as a bereavement profession leader.

THE POSITION . . .

As a BA, your position will focus on assisting us to improve our business processes, driving systems integration, and helping the organization make data-informed decisions.  In doing so, you will be responsible for gathering data, analysing business requirements, identifying opportunities for process improvements, participate in meetings to review workflow mapping sessions and making recommendations to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to define project goals, document functional specifications, and ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects, on time and on budget. As an Employer, we offer:

The IDEAL CANDIDATE . . .

  • Possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, finance, or related field.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation and/or Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • 4+ years of proven success working as a BA or similar role software/ application/ system/ workflow development/ project management.
  • Experience with Agile/ Scrum methodologies, SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills for data analysis, along with an understanding of data modeling, is highly advantageous.
  • You feel comfortable working in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple projects and able to shift priorities under pressure with a proactive mindset
  • You possess strong communication, analytical, time management and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently. Fluency in English required, and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business outcomes for the purpose of supporting strategic business objectives.
  • A valid Ontario G License in good standing, and a clear Police Clearance Record is required.
