Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed
Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services invites families and our faith communities to join us for the Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Held annually across our cemetery locations, this special Mass offers an opportunity to gather in prayer, remember loved ones who have gone before us, and celebrate the hope and promise of eternal life.
We are honoured to welcome the following celebrants for the 2026 Masses:
- Assumption Cemetery – Most Reverend John Corriveau
- Christ the King Cemetery – Most Reverend Robert Kasun
- Holy Cross Cemetery – His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto
- Mount Hope Cemetery – Most Reverend J. Gerard Pettipas
- Queen of Heaven Cemetery – Most Reverend Ivan Camilleri
- Resurrection Cemetery – Most Reverend Vincent Nguyen
- St. Mary’s Cemetery (Barrie) – Rev. Msgr. Owen Keenan
In the event of rain:
- Mass will be held in Our Lady of Fatima Mausoleum at Assumption, Holy Family Mausoleum at Holy Cross, St. Anthony’s Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven and the main Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery.
- Christ the King will celebrate Mass in the Reception Centre.
- Mount Hope Cemetery to St. Monica’s Parish.
- St. Mary’s Cemetery to Holy Spirit Parish.
