elevated OAVBR It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the sudden passing of Lisa Valiquette on October 28th, 2024, at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at the age of 54. She is reunited in Heaven with her adored mother Gail. Loving wife to John, and proud mother to Jessalyn Boc (Cameron), Aaron Moore (Amanda) and Graham Valiquette (Abby). Caring daughter to Angelo Ciciretto, and sister to Michael Ciciretto (Tanya), and Jason Ciciretto (Lesley).
elevated OAVBR Lisa’s pride and joy were her children. She adored them and was always so proud of their many accomplishments. Lisa was always happiest when surrounded by her loving family and many friends. A passionate educator for over 30 years, Lisa’s kind and nurturing spirit inspired the lives of many colleagues, parents, and students. Her favourite place to be was on a dock, surrounded by nature with her husband John and their Golden Retriever, Finn. Her smile warmed the hearts of everyone she met and she will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of everyone she touched. Lisa will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

My sincerest condolences to Lisa’s family and loved ones. She was my teacher from JK-Gr 2, and she was the most incredible teacher. She was caring and always helped me, and I am so thankful I got to spend 4 school years with her. Even later into my education, I looked back fondly on my early school years and how fun she made it for me.

I am gutted at the loss of Ms. Moore. When I was in grade 2, my brother was undergoing cancer treatment at Sick Kids and Ms. Moore took me in for months. She was my second mother and I am eternally grateful for all of the fun memories I got to make with her son Aaron and daughter Jessalyn. The world’s so unfair, Lisa was a wonderful teacher and an even better mother. She messaged me three weeks ago with photos of Jessalyns wedding and how proud she was. I got to see her a year ago when she filled in for me as a teacher! We were so happy to see each other and she shared with me some pieces of advice about my students. I will miss her forever. Love you
