With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carmela Spizzirri, who passed away on April 25, 2025 at the age of 94. Loving wife to the late Giuseppe, cherished mother to Ida (Ralph) and Frances (Emilio), beloved nonna to Joe (Pina), David (Maria), Gilda (Matthew) and Raimondo (Connie). Adored bisnonna to Sarina, Michela, Sofia, and Kapa Rosa. Born in Cosenza, Italy on January 9th 1931 to parents Giovanni and Annunziata (Beltrano) Manna.
elevated jv2Q4 She was the heart of her home — always putting others first, always ready with a kind word, a warm hug, or a homemade pizza.
elevated jv2Q4 Her garden was her sanctuary, and her sweet tooth was only matched by her sweet spirit. Whether she was tending her garden or cooking, she did everything with love and care. Selfless, gentle, and endlessly giving, Carmela touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her warmth and kindness.
elevated jv2Q4 Though Alzheimer’s slowly dimmed her memories, it could never touch her essence — her warmth, her smile, her boundless love. Through every moment, she remained the soft, steady light in the lives of those who knew her. For 94 beautiful years, she gave more than she ever asked for. Selfless and sweet, her kindness was quiet but profound, her presence a light that warmed every room.
elevated jv2Q4 She leaves behind a legacy stitched from love — the kind that lingers, the kind that grows, the kind that lives on in gardens, kitchens, and the gentle paws of her furry friends. She will be deeply missed and her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she held dear.

I will miss you deeply, Nonna. Your love, kindness, and generosity were gifts that shaped my life. Though you’re no longer here, your memory will remain forever in my heart.
