elevated eYWnJ We are saddened to announce the passing of Arthur McManus at the age of 95. The beloved husband of almost 73 years to Isabella, father to Lisa McManus, Susan Silva (Joseph), Linda Meeking (Charles) and Theresa Kisby.
elevated eYWnJ Missed by his many Grandchildren, Great and Great-Great Grandchildren, Sister and Brother-in-Laws, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and cats in Canada, Scotland, New Zealand and the US.
elevated eYWnJ Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Arthur served in the Royal Navy and loved one of his first jobs as a fireman on the LNER Railway, prior to a life-long career as a builder. Arthur and Isa lived in New Zealand and Scotland before choosing Canada as their home in 1966.
elevated eYWnJ Arthur was a truly wonderful family man and the best father possible. A man that knew all and could do absolutely everything. He was the centre of attention and the most entertaining man in the room. He took pride in his many building projects in the GTA and the cottage on Morrison Lake.
elevated eYWnJ A Funeral mass will be held at 2pm, November 1st, St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 115 Vodden St E, Brampton, ON, where Arthur was a founding member.
A reception will be held in the Stephenson Room after the mass.
In Lieu of Flowers, Arthur requested donations to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or the Salvation Army to support their good work.
