With great sadness, we announce that our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elena, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord, in the presence of her loved ones, on January 19, 2023. She will now be reunited with her loving and devoted husband, Franco, with whom she was married for almost 72 years, as well her parents, Cesidio and Teresa, her son-in-law, Giovanni Rasetta, and her siblings, Angelo, Arnaldo, Gina and Emma.
elevated X48EK Elena was an adored mother to Maria Teresa (Giovanni), Vera (Giovanni), Gino (Tina) and Nino (Libby). She was cherished by her grandchildren, Rossana (Sam), Gianni (Giulia), Anthony (Angela), Dina (Ricardo), Michael (Gloria), Paul (Julie), Mark (Stefanie), Laina (Javier), and Frank (Angela). She was a loving Bisnonna to Vanessa, Alessia, Giovanni, Gabriella, Giulian, Ricardo, Daniel, Andres, Sienna, Natalie, Jeremy, Leo and Gia.
elevated X48EK A strong, hard-working woman, Elena’s sole focus in life was her family. Her greatest joy was seeing everyone together enjoying her delicious gnocchi or ravioli. She loved to preserve food from her garden, grow beautiful flowers in interesting pots, knit gorgeous sweaters, hats, blankets and scarves, and watch her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
elevated X48EK Elena will be greatly missed by her surviving siblings, Carmela and Irene, her sisters-in-law, Assunta, Eva and Antonietta, and her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dear Nino, I was saddened to hear your dear mother passed away. She lived a long and fulfilled life, and reading her obituary reinforced my view that your parents were great people whose values, tradition and love was passed down to the next generation. In addition to the love she showered on her children and grand children, there were many happy times your family spent together, laughed, cried and enjoyed great meals that will never be forgotten.
